Welcome to Lily's Lathers, your site for the best, natural, homemade goat milk products available! We handcraft our fine products from the highest quality ingredients. Using farm-fresh goat milk (free from artificial hormones), virgin olive oil, high grade coconut oil, and essential oils or scents, chosen for their fragrance and "aromatherapeutic" qualities, we create an unequaled natural skin care experience. Our family has benefited greatly from our soap. Because it is natural, my husband, who has allergies to fragrances, and our daughter who has eczema, have been able to use our soap with no ill effects. This business is a family-run enterprise. We have 11 children ranging from 26-5 yrs of age. Most of the children help make, package, and market our products (even the 5 yr old!). Soap Making Process 

Making soap is an exacting process that requires precision in measuring and mixing in order to cause a chemical reaction between an acid and an akali, called saponification.  The acid used in our natural soaps is olive oil.  The alkali, which is in all soaps, is lye.  During the chemical reaction and the subsequent time to cure the soap, the mixture becomes neutral.

 

We also add Essential Oils which have proven health benefits and have aromatherapeutic properties.
